The following general terms and conditions of purchase are accepted on placing an order goods and services from Svensk Byggtjänst (the Swedish Building Centre).
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PURCHASE
Business customers: A delivery note will be attached to any literature supplied, an invoice will be sent separately to the invoicing address given. VAT + carriage will be added to the prices indicated. There is no right to return items. In the case of orders of less than SEK 300 (except for purchases via the Internet store) a fee of SEK 100 will be charged.
Private customers: No purchases may be made on invoice, all purchases must be made by card via the Internet store. When placing orders on the Internet store, private customers/consumers have a statutory right to return goods (with the customer paying for return carriage).
E-book Delivery: You can download your e-book to your computer immediately after purchase on the Internet store. All e-books are available in pdf and/or epub copy-protected file. VAT will be added to the prices indicated. The VAT payable on e-books is 25%, since e-books are considered to constitute a service and are therefore not covered by the lower VAT rate for books. There is no right to return e-books.
The literature monitoring service applies until further notice until it is cancelled in writing. Invoices will be issued for each delivery. VAT + carriage will be added to the prices indicated. There is a full right of return within 10 days, with only return carriage payable; after that time, the purchase will be considered to have been accepted. The right of return will not apply, however, to any book(s) ordered in conjunction with signing up for the literature monitoring service.
When a return is being made, the book should be returned together with the invoice or delivery note to: Svensk Byggtjäanst, Lundåsvägen 10-12, 763 30 Hallstavik, Sweden
Annual Subsrciptions (Literature, Web Services, Usufructs) will be invoiced by verbal agreement in accordance with the current pricelist. The subscription will apply until further notice until it is cancelled in writing. Cancellation in writing must be received by AB Svensk Byggtjänst in accordance with the due date indicated on the invoice. When a first purchase is made, there is no right to return items. Invoicing will take place annually thereafter.
Inclusion in Byggkatalogen will be invoiced by verbal agreement.
Subscription Environmental Scanning (Visits)
This subscription will apply until further notice in accordance with written confirmation until cancellation is made in writing. The period of notice of cancellation is one (1) full calendar quarter. Invoicing will take place quarterly in advance in accordance with the current pricelist.
AB Svensk Byggtjänst reserves the right, for all products, to change the subscription fee for the coming contractual period if the conditions have changed or do not, for some other reason, correspond with the previous year' s fee.
Terms and conditions of payment
Payment must be received by AB Svensk Byggtjänst in accordance with the due date indicated on the invoice. In the event of delayed or missing payment, interest on overdue sums will be charged at the currently applicable reference rate (Sw: referensränta) + 8 % plus any costs for payment reminders, debt collection costs etc.
If the customer fails to make payment on time, AB Svensk Byggtjänst will be entitled, for as long as the failure should pertain, to withhold its services, while retaining the right to that payment. AB Svensk Byggtjänst will be entitled to terminate the contract with immediate effect in the event of the customer' s insolvency or if the customer breaches the conditions agreed in the contract with AB Svensk Byggtjänst.
Software and technical platform
AB Svensk Byggtjänst cannot be held liable for any omissions and limitations of the customer' s operating system and computing environment. To obtain optimum functionality from AB Svensk Byggtjänst' s products, it is assumed that the customer has equipment to the standard and technical platform supported by AB Svensk Byggtjänst.
Intangible rights and usufruct
AB Svensk Byggtjänst owns all intangible rights to products and services produced and issued by AB Svensk Byggtjänst. Any party submitting material for publication is responsible for ensuring that its publication will not entail any infringement of another party' s copyright nor, in any other way, conflict with current legislation. Digital works displayed on the AB Svensk Byggtjänst website are protected by Sweden' s Copyright Law (Sw: Upphovsrättslagen).
There will be no compensation for circumstances beyond the control of AB Svensk Byggtjänst such as the consequences of conflagration, industrial action or similar.
